Title: Service Record Abbreviation - TBB
Post by: JeffAllen on 07 June 2014 07:47:29 pm
Hi All
Looking through my Grandfather's record (Arthur Fred Kimber - served Nov 14 - Sept 45) there is an entry for "Vernon (T.B.B.)" for the period April 44 to March 45 after he left the KGV.
Now I know Vernon was the torpedo school, so guess the "T" might stand for that - but no ideas on the "BB".  My Mum also remember visiting him at Brighton once during the war where he "was doing something secret" (but then she would have been only 10 then!) - and Vernon had a site at Roedean School at the time.

Any ideas out there?
