Woodford Green

I am currently caring for a Polish lady who served in the Wren in approx. 1944/45.  She remembers her first step on English soil was in Woodford Green at a Naval base.  Is there anywhere I can find our where this might have been as would like to take her back to the area.  I realise the camp will no longer be there but she used to attend a church near by and I am sure that will still be.  Thanks for any help on this subject
