Convoy in the night of 11./12.6.1943
« on: 02 September 2018 09:43:55 am »

Hello,

I am new here, so hello to all of you.

I am researching the raid of the Royal Air Force in the night of 11./12.6.1943 against Dusseldorf. One Halifax bomber had been attacked by friendly fire of a convoy near Sheringham (I think after midnight). The aircaft ditched and the crew has been rescued by a trawler and later transferred to a destroyer which brought them to Harwich.

It would be nice if you could give me a hint how I can find out more about the convoy and the destroyer.

Thanks.

Cheers.

Marcel
