Regulator Branch circa 1944

Ulsinus:
AFO 6681/2 authorised the expansion of the Regulating branch by the introduction of a Leading rate to be known as Leading Patrolman.
AFO 6681/6 refers 'to undergo a course of training of about six weeks training'.
I would be interested to know the details of the training course.
Grateful for any help and advice.
