Ship "Le Marquis de La Fayette"
« on: 24 November 2016 04:09:59 pm »
Hello,

I am a French journalist and writer, currently working on a biographical Essay on La Fayette. I would like to find informations about the french ship "Le Marquis de La Fayette" captured by british vessels in march or april 1781. Of course, after this date, she sailed under british colours and with a new name. I am interested to find details about the circonstances of this capture, and what happened to this ship once in the Britain Navy.
Many thanks for your help.
Best regards.
