HMS Birnbeck, Brean, Sandy bay area and the DMWD

HI

I am doing some research for National Trust Somerset countryside team. We have a big gap in our knowledge around the department of Misc weapons development activities in the area. We are very keen to view any pictures and stories of experiments that took place locally especially on Brean Down and the beaches. The National records are not that helpful, the book 'Whizzers and dodgers' mentions a few places and we are wondering if anyone can help ?
