<description><![CDATA[Hi, Photos above:<br />The Hellcat being lowered is my father&#39;s plane, JX 696. His name was (PO) Ken West. In the photo below he is standing, fourth from the right in the second row back. His friend, PO Hugh Thompson, is in the same row, second from right.<p></p>I have more photos, including all the pilots (with names) and CO, etc. The pilot killed when he went over the side is identified as PO Kay (stated above as PO Key). Can&#39;t confirm authenticity of last name. I also have my father&#39;s RCAF pilot&#39;s log. He was from Bedford, England, and was trained in Kingston, Ontario and was one of the new pilots mentioned in the narrative.]]></description>
