Dear Kevin all
I do remember having a discussion once with my father re the (L/C DG Brooker ) indecent which he did not speak highly of as he said he was being a bit flash and did not have to be fly the spit in the first place. I have also come across a court marshal doc from the US navy re flying accidents at NAS Jacksonville which included my father
Can you post attachments on this site anybody know as I find the site a bit complicated

and has an entry in it about L/C DG Brooker which may shed some light on his death.

NF586 Seafire III West M55 RNDA 15-4-44 33MU 18-4-44 Ringway to Prestwick 5-6-44 885S 8-44 801S 9-44 736BS ('YOX') ferrying Colossus to Hal Far spun in sea attempting barrel roll at 300ft Cat Z 20-3-45 (L/C DG Brooker 1846S CO killed)

Although what he was doing in a Seafire is a bit of a mystery.

My father, too was in the 1846.
Lt. C. F. Worthington-White. I have some photographs as well.

Have you any details of the pilots of 1846 Sq my father was one of them I do have a picture somewhere with the names written on

I am trying to trace details of the loss of three Corsairs off Cornwall in 1945.
JS519 - Pilot S/Lt J E Jones? 10 Mar '45
JS498 - pilot S/Lt N G Lucas 31 Aug '45
JS881 - pilot n/k 31 Aug 45
I believe the latter two collided during formation aerobatics.
I have these a/c as being with 1846 NAS - any information would be much appreciated.
