<description><![CDATA[<p>My grandfather, who vas officer in the Norwegian contingent in Operation GOLDEN was onboard on HMS Campania on the tour from England to Murmansk in Russia. </p><p>on 11 December He vas on corvette K.N.M Tunsberg Castle , EX HMS Shrewsbury Castlewith a course for Båtsfjord in Finmark. The mission was to bring supplies of food and clothing to the civilian population and the large number of refugees who had come to Båtsfjord.And get radio comunikation with England. At the entrance to the site, the vessel was probably mine-blown and on 12 December 1944 at 11:45 the corvette sank in deep water.5 men lost their lives. But my grandfather was safe nd lived to be 90 years old</p>]]></description>
