The Gunbrig Charger 1807-1808

I am looking for information about the crew of the Gun brig CHARGER from 1808.

That year 7 Russians were sent over to the Swedish military after a mutiny (on board CHRAGER?). A lieutenant Blow was in charge of CHARGER with a man named Toll from Sweden. They were in Landskrona, during the war between England and Denmark.

I believe that one of the 7 Russians was my ancestor, Stephan, born in Russia in the year 1784.  Later, after his death a note in the Swedish churchbook mentioned that he should have been in Jamaica with the English men.

I hope someone can help me

The CHARGER was a gun brig, built in 1801.  Lieutenant John Aitken Blow was in command from May 1803 until March 1810.  She was in the Baltic 1805 – 08. I am not aware of any mutiny, but it would not be unusual for a captain to put unruly men ashore.

For details of her crew, it will be necessary to consult the records now held at the National Archives at Kew, London: perhaps you could find a researcher in London that may help?
