« on: 21 May 2014 09:01:42 pm »
Hello a friend of mine had a father in the RNVR and she would like to know a bit about his military service she knows his service was with ; HMS Vansittart
HMS Dundonald 11
HMS Range
His name was Albert Smith and he was Signals/Communications and that's about all she knows
as her father passed away about 30 years ago.
How can we find out more??

Thanks for your help

kind regards Ron Morgan

Vansittart was a destroyer, see:
http://www.naval-history.net/xGM-Chrono-10DD-09VW-Vansittart.htm
http://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/205121603

Dundonald II was a shore base, a signals training school at Auchengate

Range?? = no trace of that I'm afraid !
