850 Naval Air Squadron gallery

February 17th 1944, the Avengers of 850 squadron fly past EMPRESS before landing on as the ship sails from Vancouver bound for San Francisco.

'4C' is safely on board and prepares to taxi forward.

'4C'  prepares to taxi forward of the crash barrier to clear the deck for the next aircraft in the circuit to land.

Flying complete: '4C' is the last to be struck down, here she sits on the bow, her port wheel on the accelerator track.
