Information taken from CB 4368 B. Admiralty Handbook of Naval Air Stations Aug. 45

List of first and second line squadrons, station flight and other flying units based at this location

No recorded squadron use.

Captured Vichy French airfield that was to be developed for the Admiralty as a Naval Air Station but was transferred to the Royal Air Force on completion. No record of any use by Fleet Air Arm squadrons.

While under construction the station was borne on the books of H.M.S. IRONCLAD, the local Naval Base in Diego Suarez.  It is believed the Admiralty retained lodger facilities from the R.A.F. but the option was never taken up.
